Integrated Smart City Infrastructures for Value Creation in Regional and Local Platform Concepts
In accordance with the guidelines of the “Smart City Carta — Making digital transformation at the local level sustainable” of the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR), we develop complete solution for sustainable mobility and energy concepts in urban areas, where they interact with the structures of community-driven smart city platform infrastructures as approaches to a future-oriented urban development strategy in the course of our own digital transformation.
The solution approach is to integrate the data collected in real time under the global aspect into the structures of an urban platform structure in order to generate added value for the needs of the city as well as for citizens and visitors, to enable new service structures and business models.
This includes, for example, information on current occupancy rates and occupancy figures relating to traffic and parking space. Collecting these data, they can provide not only medium- and long-term optimisation potential for urban parking spaces for the city, but also short-term added value for visitors, for example in the form of intelligent traffic guidance through the city, right up to the available parking space — smartly integrated into mobile components in a platform concept.
