Further explanation by Managing Director Dietmar Weber on the price adjustments

Dear IWOfurn customer,

With this letter I would like to inform you about upcoming changes with effect from 1.1.2023. You will find a detailed list of the adjustments via the button shown above.

In 2007, the first IWOfurn services were always related to electronic order processing. Consequently, the IWOfurn service package 1 “Automated order processing” has been available since that time. This obligatory basic package includes, among other things, a basic fee that is calculated according to the number of all business partners across all services used. Over the last 15 years we have been able to expand the range of IWOfurn services to meet your growing requirements. Services such as the creation of shipping labels for direct shipping, the use of stock information or the integration of product configurators are not directly related to the basic order processing package, which we have always considered mandatory. We would like to change that!

Instead of the previous service package 1, we are introducing a new basic package to map the generally applicable basic fees (service package 0). The previous package 1 for order processing remains but will then only include the dedicated services for order processing and no longer needs to be mandatorily booked. You do not need to take any action at this point, we will implement these changes for you from 1.1.2023 in organisational terms. From then on, you will find the general basic fees in the basic package on your billing and the fees for the order processes will be listed separately in service package 1 “Automated order processing”.

As part of this adjustment, we will moderately increase our service fees. In the years since the last price adjustment on 1.2.2020, in addition to developing new services for you, we have consistently invested in increasing our service quality, our free support services, data security and availability. This is reflected, for example, in optimised processes for networking new partners, in the free preparation of potential analyses, in the provision of dedicated onboarding staff for the expansion of your EDI quota or in the shortening of the processing times of your support requests. We were only able to achieve this level of performance in times of drastically rising IT personnel costs through additional highly qualified employees and by investing in infrastructure and data centre performance. The costs for the data centre alone have increased by over 50% since 2020.

The IWOfurn fees are generally consumption-based and consist of a monthly basic fee and a consumption-based usage fee for the individual services. The usage fee is degressively dependent on the increased degree of usage of the respective service. Briefly: The more intensively our clients use a service, the cheaper the individual transaction becomes. For this reason, it is not possible for us to give you an exact impact of the price adjustments on your total bill. According to my calculations, it will amount to approx. 5–7% for the individual companies, which I described at the beginning as moderate in view of the 3‑year period since the last price adjustment. However, we would be happy to provide you with a detailed explanation.

I hope for your understanding and very much look forward to further cooperation with you and your company.

With kind regards

Dietmar Weber
